Welcome to The Chequers Inn, Whiston
The Chequers Inn has been run by Jonathan, Richard, Karen and Clare since July 2007.
Richard and Jonathan are the directors and chefs. They have been working together for 35 years in total. Karen is also from a hospitality background and Clare from a financial one.
We offer a warm welcome to all customers, old and new. Please note: Only assistance dogs are allowed inside the pub. We have a good range of lagers and beers including cask ales. The majority of our food is homemade on the premises, which we are now very well known for. The Sunday lunches are extremely popular, a superb roast dinner that – we’re told – is the best in the area.
The top area of the pub can be hired out for small functions although we do not allow 18th or 21st birthday parties.
It is highly recommended that you reserve a table should you wish to have a bar meal throughout the week or a roast dinner on a Sunday. We look forward to welcoming you.
